Chess Tournament

The 38th Annual Library Chess Tournament was held at the Penn Hills Library on February 5, 2011. There were 13 players in the Senior Division (grades 5-8) and 11 players in the Junior Division (K-4). The first place trophy holders will participate in a tournament for county-wide winners in March. First and second place winners received trophies. All participants received certificates. The trophy winners are: Senior Division: Victoria Mbogo in first place and Steven Leone in second place; Junior Division: Joshua Mbogo in first place and Andrew Vergato in second place. Judges for the tournament were: Hank Lotz, Walter Beasley, Alan Ratliff, Daniel Lamoureaux, Abish Pius and Subish Pius.
