Willie Stargell Program

Join Educate Us Productions and actor Gregory Gibson Kenney as he becomes Pittsburgh Pirate slugger Wilver "Willie" Stargell. Join Willie from his early years in Alameda, California to his incredible twenty-one year career with the Pirates. Willie is remembered as a leader, the captain of the team, and is known affectionately as POPS. The program will be on Monday, February 20th at 6:30. Kids Chess Group!

The library is offering time for practice, play and learning for chess enthusiasts. Adults are welcome! On Saturdays, there will be a class at 11:00 am. The classes are going on now and are free and fun for all. There is no registration, just come and have fun. Instructors will be there to help in honing chess skills. Fun! Stress Free! Challenging!

Valentine Story Hour

In celebration of Valentine's Day, there will be a Valentine Story Hour on Monday, February 13th. The program begins at 6:30 pm and is for children ages 3 - 6. Children only, please. Register in advance in the Children's Library or call 412-795-3507 ext. 115.

Chess Tournament

The annual Chess Tournament will be held on Saturday, February 18th from 9:15 till 11:30. There are two divisions. The Junior Division is for those in K - 4th grade. The Senior Division is for those in 5th - 8th grade. Please register in advance in the Children's Library or call 412/795-3507 ext. 115.

Reading With Rover

A special program will be held at the Children's Library on March 3rd from 11 to 1. Rover, a licensed therapy dog, will be at the Library to spend time with any child who wants to read to him, show him pictures or tell him stories. Please register in advance in the Children's Library or call 412/795-3507 ext 115. This is a program for ages 3 to ? This therapy dog loves children and stories, so come and visit Rover.
