Children's Programs
Kids Chess Group!
The library is offering time for practice, play and learning for chess enthusiasts. Adults are welcome! The group gets together every 1st Wednesday at 6:30 pm, every third Wednesday at 6:30 pm and Saturdays at 10:30 am. There is no registration, just come and have fun. Instructors will be there to help in honing chess skills. Fun! Stress Free! Challenging!
Story Times
The Children's Library is again sponsoring Story Times for children 3 to 6 years old. Come to the library at 1:30 pm on the first and third Wednesday each month. There is also an evening story time on the third Tuesday of each month at 6:30 pm. Come out and hear some great stories. No registration is required.
Crafts At Night
This Crafts At Night program will be held on Monday, March 15th from 6:30 to 8:00 pm. Crafts are for children ages 3 and older. Please register in the Children's Library or call 412/795-3507 ext. 115.
Saint Patrick's Day Story Hour
There will be a special Story Hour on Monday, March 8th at 6:30, in honor of St. Patrick's Day. The Story Hour is for children ages 3 - 6. In case of inclement weather, call the library to confirm. Please register in advance in the Children's Library or call 412/795-3507 ext. 115.
Ceramics Class
There will be a Ceramics Class for grades 1 - 8 on March 9th at 6:30 pm. There is a minimal charge to cover the cost of the piece, paints and instruction. Register in the Children's Library or call 412/795-3507 ext. 115.
Mother Rabbit's Visit
Mother Rabbit will be visiting the Children's Library on March 22nd at 6:30 pm. This program is for ages 3 to 6. Register in advance in the Children's Library or call 412/795-3507 ext. 115.Spring Story Hour
The Spring Story Hour runs from Thursday, April 1 through Thursday, April 29. There are two sessions - 10-11 am and 1-2 pm. Story Hour is for children ages 3 - 6. It is for children only, no adults. There are stories, films, crafts and fun. There is a nominal charge. Please register in advance in the Children's Library or by calling 412/795-3507 ext 115.
