Friends of the Library

The Friends of the Penn Hills LIbrary is a nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing together people who are interested in the well being of the library. The Friends work to provide many extras for the library; items not included in the regular library budget. The Friends welcome gifts of time, money and materials from their members and the community. These donations are channeled into gifts that benefit the library and its patrons.

There are three officers in the organization. They are:

Membership dues are paid at the time of registration. This can be done at the library or by mail with the address information described above. Make checks payable to Friends of the Penn Hills Library. Choose one of these membership categories:

• Individual $10.00
• Donor $50.00
• Family $25.00
• Patron $100.00
• Organizations/Associations $30.00

Fall Book Sale

The Friends have two major fundraising activities - the spring and fall book sales. The fall book sale will be on October 2, 3 and 4. Please donate some of your gently used adult or children's books, puzzles, games, records, videos, DVDs, CDs, cassettes and magazines (no National Geographics) to our sale. You can bring them in any time the library is open and put them in or near the Friends' room on the second floor. Donations help the Friends raise money for our library programs.
